The JACL DC Chapter is hosting our annual Potluck Picnic on Sunday, June 9 from 12:00 - 2:30 PM at the Cabin John Group Picnic Area, 7701 Tuckerman Lane, Potomac, MD 20854. Bring your friends and family for a fun afternoon of friendship, delicious food, lawn games, and raffle prizes. Connect with old friends and meet new chapter members!

Potluck Details: The chapter will serve grilled chicken teriyaki, hot dogs, burgers, and beverages. Based on your last name initial, please bring one of the following dishes to share and a serving utensil if needed. Please label your serving containers/utensils with your name and also please bring a list of the ingredients to help those with food allergies. Last name beginning with...

  • A - I: Sushi, Rice, Noodle or Grain Type Dish
  • J - R: Salad or Vegetable Dish
  • S - Z: Fruit or Dessert

Complimentary for JACL Members: This event is complimentary for JACL members. Non-members are welcome and we kindly request a donation of $15 per person and a potluck dish to share. We invite you to become a member online or membership forms will be available at the picnic.

Transportation & Parking:

  • Parking is limited, so we encourage carpooling. Additional parking is available at Cabin John Village shopping center one block west on Tuckerman Lane (5-minute walk or 0.2 miles).
  • Metro: Grosvenor/Strathmore (Red Line) is the closest metro station. If you need a ride from Grosvenor/Strathmore, please email jaclwdc@gmail.com and include your mobile # to coordinate a ride from the metro to the picnic site and back.

We are seeking volunteers to assist with set-up or clean-up. Contact us at jaclwdc@gmail.com if you can volunteer as we could certainly use the support.
