O Summit Brasil chega este ano na 9ª edição e será realizado no primeiro dia da BIO, no dia 3 de junho. Dividido em três painéis, o encontro começa às 8 da manhã e vai até uma da tarde, no campus da University of California San Diego.

09:25 às 10:15 - Painel 1 – Complexo Econômico Industrial da Saúde e o Fortalecimento do SUS: Uma janela de oportunidade dentro do Nova Indústria Brasil

A proposta do painel é apresentar as ações do governo brasileiro para a área da saúde, em especial direcionadas para o fortalecimento e desenvolvimento do Complexo Econômico-Industrial da Saúde (CEIS), com a finalidade de viabilizar novas parcerias e atração de investimentos públicos e privados tendo como parâmetro a Missão 2 da política industrial Nova Indústria Brasil (NIB). O Painel visa apresentar as estruturas atuais convergentes para a implementação da nova política industrial tanto na área regulatória, de fomente financeiro da pesquisa, desenvolvimento e produção voltada ao atendimento da população brasileira.

10:45 às 11:45 Painel 2 – Impulsionando a Inovação e a Atração de Investimentos: Estrutura Laboratorial, Regulamentação e Iniciativas para o Fortalecimento do Ecossistema Brasileiro.

Este painel apresenta o resultado das recentes iniciativas que demonstram a capacidade de geração de inovações radicais por meio de ferramentas e instrumentos atuais do Sistema Nacional de Inovação brasileiro. As discussões deste painel estarão focadas nas etapas de Drug Discovery e Drug Development da cadeia de inovação radical. O debate visa discutir ações que possam ampliar a translação do conhecimento da academia para o mercado.

11:50 às 12:30 Painel 3 – One Health: Clima, Doenças Socialmente Determinadas e as Estratégias Governamentais e Institucionais para Enfrentar Desafios Emergentes de Saúde.

A abordagem "Saúde Única" (One Health) é essencial para prevenir, detectar e responder de forma eficaz aos desafios de saúde decorrentes da interação entre humanos, animais e o meio ambiente. À medida que as mudanças climáticas intensificam a interação entre diferentes ecossistemas, doenças endêmicas não se restringem mais a países do hemisfério Sul. O Brasil lançou no início deste ano uma política governamental abrangente voltada para a erradicação de 14 doenças socialmente determinadas, como por exemplo dengue, malária, tuberculose e leishmaniose. Este painel visa discutir as ações definidas pelo governo brasileiro neste novo programa, com o objetivo de estabelecer parcerias para o desenvolvimento de tratamentos, bem como destacar projetos em andamento que podem ser aprimorados por meio de esforços conjuntos do setor público e privado, visando fortalecer o ecossistema de saúde global.

The IX Summit Brazil arrives this year in its 9th edition and will be held on the first day of BIO, on June 3rd. Divided into three panels, the meeting starts at 8 in the morning and goes until one in the afternoon, on the campus of the University of California San Diego.

09:25 to 10:15 - Panel 1 – Health Industrial Economic Complex and Strengthening of SUS: A window of opportunity within the New Industry Brazil
The panel aims to present the Brazilian government's actions in the health sector, especially directed towards the strengthening and development of the Health Industrial Economic Complex (CEIS), with the purpose of enabling new partnerships and attracting public and private investments based on Mission 2 of the New Industry Brazil (NIB) industrial policy. The Panel aims to present the current structures converging towards the implementation of the new industrial policy in both regulatory and financial support areas for research, development, and production aimed at serving the Brazilian population.

10:45 to 11:45 Panel 2 – Driving Innovation and Investment Attraction: Laboratory Structure, Regulation, and Initiatives for Strengthening the Brazilian Ecosystem.
This panel presents the results of recent initiatives demonstrating the capacity to generate radical innovations through current tools and instruments of the Brazilian National Innovation System. The discussions of this panel will focus on the Drug Discovery and Drug Development stages of the radical innovation chain. The debate aims to discuss actions that can expand the translation of knowledge from academia to the market.

11:50 to 12:30 Panel 3 – One Health: Climate, Socially Determined Diseases, and Governmental and Institutional Strategies to Address Emerging Health Challenges.
The "One Health" approach is essential to prevent, detect, and effectively respond to health challenges arising from the interaction between humans, animals, and the environment. As climate change intensifies the interaction between different ecosystems, endemic diseases are no longer confined to countries in the Southern hemisphere. Brazil launched earlier this year a comprehensive government policy aimed at eradicating 14 socially determined diseases, such as dengue, malaria, tuberculosis, and leishmaniasis. This panel aims to discuss the actions defined by the Brazilian government in this new program, with the objective of establishing partnerships for the development of treatments, as well as highlighting ongoing projects that can be enhanced through joint efforts of the public and private sectors, aiming to strengthen the global health ecosystem.
