"It’s Burger Time!" is a hands-on class where students of all decorating levels will stretch their creative boundaries and try their hands at creating cookies that resemble a delicious pub meal. In this class, students will use conventional and unconventional cookie decorating methods to create a realistic cheeseburger (with lettuce and tomato, of course!), rough-cut french fries, and side of coleslaw. Students should have a solid foundation in icing piping and flooding. Airbrush experience is helpful, but not required.
Skills used in this class include:
- Texturizing royal icing using a variety of tools
- Airbushing to add shading and dimension
- Using various icing consistencies to achieve a specific look
- Creative use of wafer paper
- Royal icing transfers
