Israel Behind The Scenes with Filmmaker Barak Heymann

In partnership with Northwestern's Israel Innovation Project, please join the Chicago Festival of Israeli Cinema in the Wildcat Room of the Norris Center on the Evanston Campus to hear from Barak Heymann in person. One of Israel's most prolific and influential documentary filmmakers, Heymann will use clips from his works to weave 28 years of film and television productions into a personal presentation on the intricate complexity of Israel's reality today--after October 7. With his trademark authenticity, ease and accessibility, he will share that, although this time is unbearably difficult and full of challenges and tears, it also holds the real potential for inevitable and much-needed change.
