About this event

The Drama Book Shop presents, in association with Jay Michaels Global Communications, “Isn't Se Great: Women Led Comedies From 9 To 5 To Booksmart.” a conversation with Elizabeth Teets. - A talkback, signing, and live podcast recording.

About the book

Based on Elizabeth Teets's program series called "Isn't She Great" at the Hollywood Theater, this anthology is a collection of the most beloved female-centric comedies and the audiences who adore them. Isn't She Great: Writers on Women-Led Comedies from 9 to 5 to Booksmart is a love letter to women-led comedies, reminding us of the power in a funny woman. Elizabeth Teets will be joined by three of her contributors for the evening, Samantha Mann, Lana Schwartz, and Yael Krinsky, to discuss cult cinema, film criticism, and (of course!) the glamour in pink.

About the authors:

Elizabeth Teets is an Oregon born writer, comedian, screenwriter, and fashionista. Her work has appeared in Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Repeller, Catapult, Reductress, and more. She lives in Los Angeles where she is waiting for her group chat to respond.
