Isabelle Miner - Vocalist Born and raised in Bethel, CT, Isabelle found her footing as a singer and performer at the age of eight. She's gone on to train with some of Bethel's hometown musical favorites including Billy Michael, Cynthia McKorkindale and Erin Volpintesta. As a long time Jazz for Junior, she continued to hone her craft and went on to perform in New York City during her time in college. She returned to Hartford, CT where she sat in and collaborated with a variety of musicians. Isabelle has been growing her career as a photographer while constantly searching for outlets to sing and captivate audiences with her performance skills. Isabelle returned to Bethel for a couple years to start the band, Belle and the Boys, a trio including Billy Michael and Peter Strouse. Now a resident of Portland, Maine, she's been sitting in with a local band, Frenzie and will return to the CT area often to sit in with other bands in the jam scene. Isabelle enjoys a combination of soul and folk music while incorporating a number of power ballads into every performance.

Mike Oehmen - Sax Mike Oehmen has been professionally performing, recording, and teaching saxophone for over 20 years. He’s become one of the most in-demand saxophone players in the genres of Jazz, Funk, Soul, Rock 'n Roll, R&B and beyond. He developed his notoriety as a dynamic performer during his tenure with Hartford-based funk/soul band West End Blend. Since then, along with pursuing his own projects, he has performed, recorded, and composed/arranged music with some of the best bands and artists in the country. He has shared the stage with such notable acts as Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, Moon Taxi, Twiddle, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, among many others. He is currently touring the country with the Mihali Live Band, Wild Adriatic, and West End Blend.

When he is not touring, Mike is an accomplished instructor, teaching students of all ages and ability levels. He regularly teaches both in-person lessons throughout New England, and remote lessons from his own studio in Wethersfield, CT.

Mike is also a highly sought-after recording artist, both of his own original music, and as a studio musician for other acts. He released his first album under his own name called "One Of The Lucky Ones" in the Winter of 2022. He has also been hired to record with artists of all different genres from Boston, to New York City, and Nashville.

Varun Shah - Drums Born and raised in Kolkata, India, Varun’s journey in percussion began at the age of 3 with the Tabla. At the age of 10, he started taking lessons at The Calcutta School of Music where he won the “CSM Best Drummer” award for 6 years straight. During that time, he took the Trinity Guildhall exams assessed by Trinity College of Music, London. He completed up to Grade 8 with a “Distinction” level score.

Varun moved to the US for college in 2014, where he put music on the back burner as he pursued an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Union College, NY. During that time he managed to keep playing gigs and open mics on campus. He was also a part of the Zakuro-Daiko Japanese Drumming Ensemble for all 4 years of undergrad.

Upon graduating, Varun moved to Boston to work as a Full Stack Software Developer in 2018. He is currently balancing his full-time job with his passion for music as he plays numerous shows around New England along with some remote session work. Bands he features in include jazz-funk fusion jamband, Brother Guy, indie surf-punk group, Off Wing, and indie pop-rock group, Gov’t Disco. More recently, he has gone back to his Indian classical roots, forming a sitar-drums fusion duo called Letters In Vernacular.

Matt Geyer - Guitar Growing up in Western Massachusetts in a family of musicians, after dinner jam sessions were as commonplace as dinner itself. From as young as 13, Matt was building up songwriting & guitar chops, finding inspiration in genres ranging from frenetic punk-rock to silky jazz-fusion. Into his later teens, Matt taught guitar and performance at the local “Rock On!” band camp through group and private lessons.

While he doesn’t have a degree in music (unless 3 credits shy of a minor from BSU count), he continued to hone his skills all through college any way he could, including taking a semester off to tour the U.S. with New England scene veterans Crafter.

Now a commercial airline pilot & software developer, Matt always finds time to practice & write; a travel guitar as a quintessential carryon. He’s currently writing and performing with surf-punk group Off Wing, and indie pop-rock quartet Gov’t Disco.

Nate Sears - Bass Nate Sears picked up the bass at age 11 ready to play in his own bands outside of school, pulling inspiration from the likes of Victor Wooten, Brian Bromberg & Joe Dart. Over the years he has consistently enjoyed jamming with many groups across genres, be it the jazz band and gospel choir in college or in bands with his friends. Current projects include a mix of bass, guitar and vocals for New England based bands Gov’t Disco, Brother Guy & Esor Rose.
