IRS Holtsville, NY Hiring Event - Contact Representatives

The IRS is hiring Contact Representatives, also known as customer service representatives, for the IRS Brookhaven Service Center located in Holtsville, NY.

During the event, we will be reviewing resumes (resume upload required prior to the event - see below) and making offers on-the-spot to qualified individuals. Please review the requirements below.

About the position:

Contact Representatives:

As a Contact Representative, you will provide over-the-phone technical assistance to individuals and businesses. You will apply the tax code while addressing a wide range of issues to assist taxpayers in understanding and meeting their tax responsibilities.

More Information:

Starting pay for these positions is $22.28 per hour, followed by guarantee annual pay increases if performing successfully. We are offering full time seasonal positions available on day and swing shifts. Seasons typically lasts 6-8 months or longer and provide the stability of returning to the position each year. No tax experience is needed; in-depth training is provided.

While the Contact Representative positions may be telework eligible, it does not guarantee telework. Employees must meet and sustain IRS telework requirements to participate in the IRS Telework Program. Depending on the location, you may be required to report to the office for the duration of training.
