We are looking for customer service and clerical professionals to provide face-to-face support at IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers. This virtual information session will provide an overview of the qualifications required to be eligible for these positions, and you’ll hear from Clerks and Taxpayer Advisory Specialists working in the field to gain a better understanding of the work they do day-to-day.
Prior tax experience is not required – we provide comprehensive training to prepare you to be successful in the positions.
About the Taxpayer Advisory Specialist position:
A taxpayer advisory specialist works in a local IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center to provide face-to-face customer assistance and resolve account and notice issues with taxpayers.
About the Clerk position:
A clerk performs a variety of administrative tasks and duties associated with the tax administrative process.
