About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

No matter how drought tolerant they may be, California native plants still need water. They're patiently waiting for those seasonal rains, but this winter has been one of our driest. Which means we'll need to help them out when mother nature isn't providing enough moisture.

Irrigation 101: Learn about a variety of irrigation methods, how they can help manage your garden during these hot summer months. As well as benefits and drawbacks for overhead, drip and hand-watering equipment. Bring your hat and water bottle.

Class will be held outdoors in our demonstration gardens. We ask guests to wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and to prepare for up to one hour of walking on potentially steep and uneven surfaces. Please dress for the weather.

Erik Blank is the Horticulture Educator at TPF. A long-time California native plant enthusiast with professional experience in restoration, installation and maintenance.
