… but if you don’t pay attention and follow the rules you could put yourself and your business in peril!
You’ve probably seen the headlines. There are some big changes to the tax laws this year that affect solo practitioners (like you) and small PR firms (like yours).
But how do you make sense of it all?
Spend an hour with IPA on Tuesday, March 5 and put yourself in a position to file with confidence.

– Elimination of tax deductions for business expenses (This is huge if you freelance but also receive a W-2 from an employer!) – How much can you deduct on client entertainment? – The importance of good record keeping – Is Quickbooks worth the investment? – Should you hire an accountant to do your taxes?

Rob is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Diego State University and a Master of Science in Taxation from California State University, Northridge.
Rob has worked for the IRS for over 28 years. His current position is subject matter expert on corporate taxation, where he provides advice, guidance and training to IRS agents in the field on corporate tax issues. In addition, he has spent over 20 years as a field agent, conducting or coordinating tax audits of large corporate taxpayers and business entities.
Rob is on the faculty of the Accounting and Information Systems Department at California State University, Northridge, where he teaches graduate courses in Taxation.
He also conducts a forensic accounting practice and helps clients prevent, detect or investigate fraud in their business and helps resolve financial disputes in and out of litigation.
