IPAMA- Milwaukee

The Institute for the Preservation of African American Music and Arts (IPAMA) will commemorate Milwaukee’s traditional Juneteenth celebration by establishing a community recognition breakfast on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the IPAMA, 3200 W. Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee. The breakfast event will start at 8:00 am. The Juneteenth Legacy Breakfast is dedicated to recognizing individuals and organizations throughout Milwaukee for a lifetime of outstanding community service through the establishment of a scholarship fund benefitting several youth-serving organizations, sororities, fraternities, and other civic organizations. The inaugural festive event will salute some of Milwaukee’s most talented artists and musicians, acknowledge the contributions of several remarkable Milwaukee families, and recognize Milwaukee’s nine panhellenic organizations that can trace their history back to more than 100 years in this community. Some of our most prominent national and local leaders are members of these nine fraternities and sororities, and they will be honored as outstanding representatives in every segment of the community – law, medicine, music, art, finance, education, and more.
