Inversion Workshop: Turn Your World Upside Down

Learning handstand is all about practice, patience and perseverance. It’s also about being able to trust yourself and allow for a little play. To practice handstand in a supportive environment using the wall is the best way to learn when you first begin - cultivating the stability and support you need.
A series of targeted warm-ups & poses will be offered that build the strength needed to get up. Be ready to experience several ways to get into handstand, several variations to play with, and partner work.

Workshop Designed For: Those that have a regular yoga practice, a strong Downward Facing Dog and Plank pose; not suitable for anyone that has wrist, elbow, or shoulder injuries, or are pregnant.

Walk away with:
-Preparation methods to strengthen and open your wrists and shoulders
-Tips to strengthen your Downward Facing Dog & Plank pose
-Swing and spring method, learning to kick up at the wall or press up with a partner
-Beginning variations like L-Handstand & Pop-Ups
-Greater confidence and a way to practice at home or in the studio on your own
-if you are a teacher, greater confidence in knowing how to introduce inversions into your classes
