Inventathon

The mission of the UCLA Business of Science Center (BSC) is to prepare scientific, engineering, law, medical and business graduate students for careers in the private sector; to assist university faculty and clinicians in technology transfer; and to serve as a catalyst for increased industry support and involvement on campus. We believe this will foster a culture of innovation and will maximize the impact of UCLA research on society. Event organized by Samantha Le, Aimee Flores, and Aleidy Silva.

UCLA Business of Science Center

Inventathon is a 2-day hackathon where teams of students work together to create and pitch the best solution to a given medical need. The end product can be an app, device, website, conceptual drawing, or anything else that exemplifies the concept. Clinicians and industry professionals will provide mentorship in areas such as device design, reimbursement, strategy, software development, and presentation.
We will provide food, raffles, and prizes. No experience necessary. All are welcomed.
