Introduction to Web Development
Join us for a 3-part workshop series to learn the basics about frontend and backend web development, as well as collaboration.
Are you working as a UX/UI designer, UX researcher, product engineer, or similar and always wanted to learn more about web development? Are you looking for a kick-start to learn the basics about frontend and backend development? Are you curious about how to collaborate with developers effectively and efficiently? Then this workshop is for you!
Girls in Tech Switzerland, User Wizard, and Code Excursion have teamed up for an exclusive and unique 3-part workshop series where you will learn basic concepts of frontend (HTML, CSS, etc.) and backend (databases, APIs, servers, etc.) to better understand the development process for web applications. In the third part of the workshop, we will also talk and discuss collaboration, workflows, terminology, and communication between developers and non-developers.
This workshop is also a great introduction to web development if you are curious about job opportunities in this area and want to gain some insights. We will cover concepts on a theoretical level but also provide hands-on exercises for you to play around with and get your hands dirty with code examples. No coding experience needed!
