Come and learn how to weave! Create a woven wall hanging on a frame loom using different weaving techniques.

Spend a day learning basic weaving techniques to create your own small woven wall hanging. In this workshop, you'll learn how to add a warp to a frame loom and use different weaving techniques, such as soumak, rya knots, plain and basket-weave to create patterns and textures. You'll be taught how to finish your weaving and attach to a dowel rod to create your hanging. Class sizes are restricted to a maximum of six, to ensure you get plenty of support. Classes are taught by Rachel Ashman, an experienced teacher and textile artist.All materials and tools are provided, as are refreshments (tea, coffee &amp; biscuits.) Please bring your own lunch (Wallingford town centre is a ten minute walk away, with shops and cafes if you prefer.) Free parking on site.Join us for a relaxing and fun day learning this fantastic textile process!
