Introduction to the Linux/Unix Shell

Colin Sauze is a Research Software Engineer at Aberystwyth University working for the Super Computing Wales project. He is responsible for helping any users in Aberystwyth University to utilitise high performance computing.

This workshop is intended for postgraduate students and research staff who would like to learn how to use the Linux/Unix shell in order to work with High Performance Computing. No previous knowledge of Linux or Unix is required or expected. The material for this workshop will come from <A HREF="http://swcarpentry.github.io/shell-novice/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Software Carpentry</A>. 
This course will be taught in two halves, one on December 7th and the other on December 14th. Attendees are expected to attend BOTH sessions.
