Introduction to Test Writing

ANCC's Measurement Services is pleased to offer the Introduction to Test Writing Webinar quarterly. This webinar is designed to help nurse educators hone and refresh their skills. The facilitator focuses on strategies for writing accurate and relevant exam questions. The two-hour webinar is fast-paced and engaging, and it will offer tools that can be implemented immediately.

Key concepts that will be covered include:

• Test blueprints
• Item writing techniques and best practices
• Different item types
• Avoiding bias/stereotypes in item writing
• Item Development and Review Checklist (PDF provided to attendees!)

The Introduction to Test Writing Webinar is intended for individual registration and the quarterly sessions will take place from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM (ET) via Zoom on the following dates:

• May 10, 2024
• September 20, 2024
• December 6, 2024

Participants should select one session they would like to attend. Participants who attend the webinar and complete a post-webinar survey will receive the presentation slides and a PDF of the checklist after the session!

Registered attendees will receive an email with a Zoom link on the Wednesday before their selected Friday session.
