This workshop is only open to current Smith School students, and seats are limited.Are you interested in learning tips and tricks of practical data science, but not sure where to start? This Introduction to SQL workshop is for you!In this three-hour online workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of SQL from installing the tools to querying your data. You will gain all the necessary skills to start writing SQL queries to excel in your classes and career.Takeaways Learn fundamental of SQL – Structured Query Language Understand various data types in SQL Learn to create your first database and populate tables Retrieve complex data using – SELECT, FROM, WHERE, GROUP BY, HAVING, ORDER BY Learn to joins multiple tables to write complex queriesPrerequisite &amp; Preparation This class is taken completely online, and requires a computer and a strong internet connection. We will provide a zoom link before the start of the workshop Windows user will need Microsoft Windows 8/10. MAC users will need Mac OS 10+ We will go through the installation guide in the workshop.Course Content Introduction to SQL Data Types SELECT Statements WHERE vs HAVING GROUP BY Arrange your data JOINS – Inner, Left, Right, Outer Aggregate function (SUM, COUNT, MEAN,MIN, MAX)This workshop is subject to cancellation due to low registration.
