About this event

We are delighted to invite you to our Coastal Community and Creative Health (CC&CH) workshop. This free session is open to all project team members, project partners, voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations, creative sector practitioners (e.g., community artists), and those working in health, social care and academia.

Ripple Effect Mapping

Ripple Effect Mapping is a participatory evaluation method that helps to identify and make sense of the wide-ranging impacts of a project or initiative. It captures both intended and unintended outcomes and draws out the connections between them, offering a way to reflect on complexity and change.

This interactive workshop will introduce the method and guide participants through how it can be applied in practice. The session will include opportunities to reflect on your current evaluation approaches, consider why Ripple Effect Mapping can be effective, and explore how it might fit within your own work.

Facilitator

The workshop wiil be facilitated by a member of the Good Practice Mentor (GPM) programme, which builds on the legacy of Ageing Better, a seven-year initiative that reached over 150,000 people to tackle social isolation and loneliness among those aged 50 and over. Since 2022, the GPM team has been helping organisations connect with older people in meaningful ways, share learning, and create citizen-led networks that drive lasting change.

Delivered in partnership with South Yorkshire Housing Association, Age UK Camden, and Leeds Older People Forum, the team offers tailored support, practical resources, and training to strengthen engagement, build skills, and amplify the voices of older people in communities.

Who Should Attend?

This session is ideal for VCSE organisations, community artists, local authority representatives, and professionals in health and social care who are keen to explore new approaches to evaluating the impact of their work.
