Introduction to Psychedelic Autism: A 4-Week Online Learning Intensive

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

This course is instructed by Aaron Paul Orsini, co-founder of the AutisticPsychedelic.com Community and Organizer of the Neurodivergent Psychedelic Service Directory & Online Conference Series. His work has been featured on Joe Rogan, Tim Ferriss & Rolling Stone. And to date, he has taught more than 350 graduates through this introductory course, many of whom are now actively working in the field of psilocybin facilitation and — soon, following the FDA approval of MDMA by late 2024 — MDMA-assisted therapy.

MORE ABOUT AARON:

Aaron is an autistic psychedelic educator, author and researcher. He has published four books about his area of focus — Autism On Acid (2019), Autistic Psychedelic (2021), Introduction to Psychedelic Autism (2022), and Psychedelic Autism (2023) — and presently serves as a psychedelic autism research co-author collaborator to Harvard's Mass General Hospital, University of Toronto, University College London, and The Beckley Foundation. He is an author on 5 presently active or soon-to-enroll research studies investigating the effects of psilocybin, MDMA & LSD on the social, emotional, and whole-health wellness of autistic adults.

Aaron is also an advisor to an ADAPT drug education study funded by Organization for Autism Research, and a lecturer on psychedelic facilitation for Alma Institute and SoundMind Institute in Oregon, Naropa University in Colorado, Psychedelics Today's VITAL Training Program, and Integrative Psychiatry Institute's 200-hour psychedelic-assisted therapy training program.

In addition to offering his skills and knowledge through research and education, Aaron also recently launched a broader umbrella site, NDpsychedelic.com, focused on connecting neurodivergent individuals to service providers who understand their lived experience. ND Psychedelic also produces and streams educational online conferences every other month, with past topics including psychedelics for ND adults as well as cannabis for ND adults. Aaron also take a realistic stance on safe, non-clinical personal psychedelic use by distributing & educating the public about the use of quantitative drug testing kits for LSD, psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine & cannabis.

Will This Course Be Live or Pre-Recorded?

This course will be taught LIVE with opportunities for group discussion & the chance to direct questions toward the instructor.

Attending the live learning sessions is encouraged but not required.

Who Is This Course Designed For?

This course is primarily designed for academics & professionals who want to learn about — & eventually work in — the emerging field of psychedelic care for autistic individuals (Psy-Aut Care).

That said, ANYONE is welcome to take this course as we will begin with the fundamentals and advance through to more practical insights for practitioners in sessions III & IV.

What Will I Learn During This Course?

This course will provide students with a foundational understanding of autism, psychedelics, & the relevant intersections of the two.

The course lectures & associated reference materials are comprised of a combination of essential terms, statistics, & definitions, plus a deep dive into a wide assortment of relevant clinical investigations completed during both the pre-prohibition & modern “psychedelic renaissance” eras of research.
