Welcome to the Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation Course!

I'm Josh Lu, been meditating for about 12 years now and currently a second-year student in Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield's Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program. I'm excited to kick off this 4-week course as an introduction to mindfulness meditation. We will meet for 1 hour a week for 4 weeks on Wednesday evenings from 5:30p - 6:30p.

When will the course take place?

The first course will begin on May 22, 2024. From there, we will meet every Wednesday from 5:30p to 6:30p PT for 1 hour on Zoom:

  • June 12, 2024

What's the class structure?

Each week I'll give a short talk (for example, what is mindfulness, mindfulness of the breath, mindfulness of the body, mindfulness of emotions...etc), guide us in a short practice based on the talk, and leave some room in the end of sharing and Q&A.

What is required of me?

No prior experience is necessary. All are welcome and this practice is secular so it is relevant for people of any or no religious or spiritual beliefs.

What is the cost?

There is a suggested donation of $20. I will be giving all donations to the Spirit Rock Meditation Center.
