Introduction to Mediation Skills - Virtual Workshop
Four 3.5 hour online sessions on April 5, 6, 12 and 13 from 9:00am to 12:30pm (14 hrs total)
Mediation skills can be applied within a wide variety of situations: an employee dispute, a community controversy or a quarrel between family members. The mediator acts as an impartial third party to facilitate communication between disputants and to support them in reaching their own decisions.
Presentations on the mediation process will be alternated with opportunities to practice through online role plays. These will be supervised by experienced DSC mediators who will offer feedback and support. This workshop will be held on Zoom.
"Communication and Communication Skills" workshop is a pre-requisite for this workshop.
Presenters: Will Dudenhausen and Jenifer Yarnelle
