Join us with artist Bruce Edwards to learn Life Drawing techniques with a posing model. Explore ways to deal with proportion, shading, and fundamental anatomy. A fun, relaxed, non-judgemental approach to this age-old practice. Tuesdays June 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th, 6pm - 8pm. Cost: $120 includes all four workshops.
Supply list:
Soft graphite pencils; any of the B ratings (the larger the number, the softer the graphite)
Woodless pencil 4B and/or 6B
(Charcoal sticks and/or charcoal pencils are also okay)
Quality eraser
Blending stump
Clipboard or other stiff backing for drawing papers
Paper; newsprint is fine for most of our work. A large pad is best.
Note: some paper has a very smooth almost “slick” surface. Any paper used for drawing should have “tooth”; this can be determined by running your finger tips over the surface. Good drawing paper should feel like very fine sandpaper.
