The mission of the Center for Cooperative Media is to grow and strengthen local journalism and support an informed society in New Jersey and beyond.The Center is a primarily grant-funded program of the College of Communication and Media at Montclair State University. Learn about collaborative journalism during this 1-hour overview

Journalists are increasingly working together around the world, on projects large and small. This introduction webinar will provide a wide overview of collaborative journalism, including a definition of what it is, who is doing it, how it works when it works best, and plenty of case studies and examples.This webinar is tailored for journalists, media makers, funders, academics and others who are interested in learning more about collaborative journalism, keeping abreast of the latest trends and research, or discussing how other successful collaborations have worked.The webinar will be hosted by the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University. Stefanie Murray, director of the Center, will lead the introduction webinar.This session is part of a fall 2020 series of training related to collaboration hosted by the Center.
