Overview

Part of Columbus KTC's "Dharma Paths" series of introductory talks on Buddhist topics.

For more than 40 years, the Columbus Karma Thegsum Choling has been teaching meditation to the public for free at its meditation center in Central Ohio. Now we are offering our Dharma Paths series of introductory Buddhsim courses online.

There are nine classes in the series, but you can start anywhere in the series and take the classes in any order. Each class is taught by one of our trained meditation instructors.

This week's class, titled "Taking Refuge", covers the following topics:

-The results of dharma practice and taking refuge as a stage in dharma practice.

-The significance of taking refuge.

-A description of the formal refuge vow ceremony.

-The commitments of refuge.

There will also be time for questions and discussion.

May all beings benefit!
