How to Identify & Draw Plants

This online art class demonstrates how to draw plants using a variety of techniques that will allow you to render subjects accurately and expressively.

We create a new botanical drawing in every workshop. If you’re looking for a fun and engaging way to consistently add more value to your time in nature, TRY IT.


Workshop Duration: 2 Hours

Start time: 7:00 PM (Eastern Time)

This workshop will be recorded for those who can not make the live event due to time zone differences. If you do not wish to be recorded during the live event, simply turn off the camera on your device.

What You Need

  • Pencil (2B or B hardness)
  • Kneadable Eraser
  • Scrap paper
  • One sheet of premium drawing paper (at least 8 x 10 inches)
  • Ruler


Optional Materials:

  • Blending Sticks or Cotton Ball
  • Embossing tool (a toothpick will work)
  • Color Pencils

Please Note: This class is accessible from any web device, however, a device with a larger screen such as a tablet or PC will make for a better experience.
