Frequently asked questions
All adults are welcome to join this class and no experience is necessary! While those who enjoy papercrafts, sewing, and scrapbooking may be familiar with the techniques, anyone is welcome to join us!
The two day workshop runs from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until 5:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. On Saturday, we will break for lunch, usually around 1:00 p.m., for one hour. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch or visit one of the many amazing restaurants in Winston-Salem.
While we encourage you to bring a pencil and paper to take notes for yourself, you do not need to purchase any supplies for this course. Should you have interest in purchasing supplies to do bookbinding at home, we can provide a list of materials used for the techniques taught in class.
In this course you will make a single signature pamphlet, a two signature pamphlet, a link stitch book, and two hardcover bound books. Depending on how quickly you work, you may have time to create an additional book as well!
Of course! Those who complete the course will take home their creations.
If you are unable to attend the workshop, please let us know as soon as possible. We are able to offer partial refunds up to one week in advance. If mitigating circumstances apply, you may be able to reschedule for a future workshop if seats are available.
There are many fabulous restaurants in the Old Salem and Downtown Winston area, some within walking distance and others within a short drive. We personally recommend Lot 63, Say So, and Camino Coffee for a snack and caffeine!
