8 Sessions: Tuesdays, 6-9PM

May 7, 14, 21, 28

June 4, 11, 18, 25

Please note you must be 18+ to take this workshop.

In this workshop participants will learn how to use the 35mm analog camera, develop

their own film, and make silver gelatin prints in the BDC darkroom. Through

demonstrations, homework assignments and critiques, participants will gain confidence

in using the analog camera, composition in photography and in performing all darkroom

processes.

The BDC has a limited number of cameras available for students during class time with

a refundable deposit. It is preferable that students have their own 35mm film camera so

that they can practice during out-of-class hours.

Students are required to purchase their own black-and-white photographic film and

paper to work with in the darkroom. The BDC has film and paper for sale, or we can

recommend stores where they can be purchased.

The course is subject to minimum enrollment, please register early.
