Maryland Legal Aid invites you to a community event to learn about free same-day legal help for renters facing eviction in Cecil County.
Maryland Legal Aid (MLA) invites you to a community information event to learn about free same-day legal representation for eligible renters facing eviction cases in Cecil County. Come discover more about who qualifies, what services are available, and how renters can connect with Maryland Legal Aid in advance or at court.
MLA offers these services through its Tenant Right to Counsel Project (TRCP), part of Maryland’s Access to Counsel in Evictions Program. Through TRCP, eligible renters may receive free legal help for their eviction case, including in failure to pay rent, breach of lease, tenant holding over, and wrongful detainer cases. In Cecil County, renters may now be able to meet with a Maryland Legal Aid attorney and receive representation at court on the day of their hearing.
