Join Opportunity Miami x Miami-Dade County for our 11th climate tech meetup to hear from several Chilean companies focused on tech and climate. The event will be held at The Miami-Dade Beacon Council on June 10th at 10AM.

Check-in begins at 9:30am, and the program will begin promptly at 10:00am.

This meetup is in partnership with ProChile, the Chilean Government Exports Promotion Bureau, an agency within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which aims to promote Chile's exports of goods and services to the world. The organization has an office based in Miami.

Chile has been the leading tech hub in Latin America since 2007 and named among the 50 most innovative countries in the world. Today, there are 140 Chilean tech companies operating in the United States. Florida is home to 38 of these tech companies that launched in the American market within the last five years in different cities, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, and Tampa.

Climatech in Chile is crucial due to its high exposure and vulnerability to multiple hazards such as earthquakes, volcanic activity and tsunamis, as well as hazards which can change due to climate change such as wildfires, floods and landslides, and droughts.

The companies in this sector aim to provide a positive impact and make Chile a hub for the creation of clean technologies in the region and the world, focusing on solutions in water, sustainable food, sustainable life, protection and monitoring, and energy.

We will close with 30 minutes of networking with a chance to share announcements and calls to action.
