A closer look at CensusAggregator, a new free tool that makes Canadian census data more accessible to the social sector and broader public.

We're pleased to announce the coming launch of a new free tool, CensusAggregator, <a href="https://censusaggregator.ca" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://censusaggregator.ca</a>, that makes census data more accessible to the social sector and the broader public. Using an online, map-based interface, users can select an area of interest and CensusAggregator returns custom aggregated statistics and charts for the selected area. CensusAggregator does not require specialized training or statistical knowledge and it uses recently released data from the 2021 Canadian census. Community service providers will find this tool useful for summarizing the population and household characteristics for their service areas without having to retrieve, filter, aggregate, and visualize the raw data themselves.I﻿n this session, we will demonstrate how CensusAggregator works and provide simple case studies to illustrate how you can leverage census data from this tool.
