Did you know… WordPress Runs 43% of the ENTIRE Internet?Whether you are an online service provider looking for a way to uplevel your skills and expand your services or a freelancer who wants to regain control of their own website, WordPress confidence will set you apart from the competition.In this workshop, you’ll discover what WordPress is capable of and how it can be customized and scaled, especially if you learn how to code. Don't worry if you're not a coding guru – we're starting with the basics of HTML &amp; CSS and how to explore changes by ‘hacking’ a website (the ethical way, of course!). Plus, we'll play around with Inspect Tools and do some live coding with ChatGPT &amp; CodePen. It's like a playground for web development!After that, Julia will walk you through setting up a WordPress environment using Local, navigating the WordPress dashboard, and making it look snazzy with your choice of colors and fonts. She’ll show you how to tweak templates, menus, layouts, and even add some fancy blocks for your content. And because we want you to be well on your way to becoming a WordPress Rockstar, we'll explore some must-have plugins for keeping your site safe and sound. Key learning outcomes (list 3-4)● Understand WordPress' crucial role in the digital landscape and its basic functionalities, essential for enhancing online services or managing personal websites.● Get started with HTML &amp; CSS and discover useful tools like Inspect Tools, ChatGPT, and CodePen.● Learn to create and manage a WordPress site locally for hands-on practice and experimentation.● Gain skills for customizing WordPress with themes, colors, fonts, and layouts, plus using blocks for content.
