Are you interested in learning more about the US government?

This is a FREE class open to the public that will teach you the absolute basics about our government. It is a crash course so we'll have to go fast, but you'll leave with a basic foundation of knowledge that you can build on outside of class!

What we'll try to cover:

- foundations of US government

US Constitution, key amendments other important documents

- government structure

What are the branches and levels of govt?

- roles within the federal government

What can the president, Congress, and the courts each do?

- rights and responsibilities of a citizen

How do voting, social movements, civic participation work?

*EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Just bring yourself and a notebook/pen if you want to take notes!*

*This class will provide a refresher(or crash course) on some of the core topics covered in high school government class or an American Politics 101 course. While all are welcome, this course will be most beneficial for those who have limited understanding of how government works and want to better understand the foundations, structures, and roles of government.
