This introductory course will teach the basics of tantra and lay a strong foundation for more advanced work which will be offered later in the year.

We will explore classical tantra and learn several breathing techniques to create various states in the human body. We will also explore arts of connection, love and passion through individual and paired practices in safe, heart-centered interactions.

This course is open to people of all genders, orientations, beliefs and identities. Individuals and couples and groups welcome.

What to expect:

♥ An opening circle where we check in with each other.

♥ A mix of explanation, demonstrations and practice (similar to a yoga or meditation class).

♥ A chance to work with others in the course in paired exercises (you can do all exercises with a specific partner if you choose or rotate in the group)

♥ A closing circle where we integrate what we have learned and experienced.

This is a clothes on workshop with opportunities for consensual non-sexual touch and sharing of erotic energy, if desired. Everyone is always at choice in each moment and you can skip any exercises that don’t feel right for you.

Mara has been studying and teaching tantra for over 20 years. She has a grounded, loving and gentle and approach to teaching this ancient and powerful art. Her style is practical, non-religious and draws on her experience not only as a tantrika but as a yoga teacher and coach.

She had studied with a variety of teachers including: Anna Harvey, Margo Anand, Alex Jade, Selah Martha, Evalena Rose, Lindy James and The Body Electric School.
