INTRO TO SOFT PASTEL PAINTING Saturday, May 11, 10:00-1:00pm

Designed for the absolute soft pastel beginner (not necessarily beginner in art). We will discuss materials (papers and boards, pastel brands and types), style(abstract, realism), basic techniques (how to use the pastel stick) and basic processes used with pastel painting. Each participant will complete a technique sampler using what we learned. Note this will NOT be a completed painting, just a sampler for future reference. The class atmosphere will be one of comfortable supportive learning and experimentation. All materials included.
