Class Outline:

  • Attendees will be permitted into the Roastery where they will participate in a discussion about coffee roasting (short history, methods, how a drum roaster works, how we approach roasting) and engage in sensory analysis
  • Attendees will have the opportunity to experience green coffee visually, olfactorily, and physically
  • Attendees will follow a roast and experience how a roast progresses through visual and audio cues (color evolution, Maillard Reaction aroma, first crack, etc)
