The Bioinformatics Core helps researchers identify/interpret patterns in RNA/DNA by placing sequencing data into a biologically meaningful context. This includes experimental design, developing reproducible workflows, analyzing NGS data, and publications.

July 30-August 1, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM ETRegistration closes 7/9/2025.About the workshop:This workshop is targeted toward researchers comfortable with R/RStudio who would like to better understand the analysis of single-cell RNA-Seq data.This workshop assumes some experience working with R and RStudio. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:<ul><li>Describe (at a high level) how single-cell samples are sequenced along with strengths of a few popular library preps.</li><li>Create and interpret preliminary QC visualizations from a single-cell experiment.</li><li>Use PCA and UMAP to create cell-type clusters.</li><li>Execute and visualize differential expression across clusters.</li><li>Identify marker genes and annotate clusters based on gene expression.</li></ul>More details:<ul><li>This workshop assumes some experience working with R/RStudio.
