July 30-August 1, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM ET
Registration closes 7/9/2025.
About the workshop:
This workshop is targeted toward researchers comfortable with R/RStudio who would like to better understand the analysis of single-cell RNA-Seq data.
This workshop assumes some experience working with R and RStudio. Note that as part of the workshop registration, you can request to be automatically registered for the free companion workshop Intro to R & RStudio on July16-17 from 9am-12pm ET.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe (at a high level) how single-cell samples are sequenced along with strengths of a few popular library preps.
- Create and interpret preliminary QC visualizations from a single-cell experiment.
- Use PCA and UMAP to create cell-type clusters.
- Execute and visualize differential expression across clusters.
- Identify marker genes and annotate clusters based on gene expression.
More details:
- This workshop assumes some experience working with R/RStudio. (Previous attendance in an Intro to R & R-Studio, Computational Foundations, or Software Carpentry workshop is sufficient.)
- The cost is $435/seat.
- The workshop experience is designed to be interactive and includes a combination of lecture, live-coding, and opportunities for questions throughout.
- The workshop is entirely online and will be conducted over Zoom and Slack.
- Basic understanding of NGS sequencing protocols and/or familiarity with bulk RNA-Seq analysis is desirable.
We are able to refund workshop fees for cancellations prior to the close of registration.
