Join us in our studio in Silverlake to create your own hand printed oversized tote bag through an Intro to Screen Printing class with Current Shapes.

In this class, students will learn the basics of screen printing and using the repetition of shapes to create exciting and unique compositions on fabric. Students will learn stencil techniques, basics of color theory and mixing water-based inks, and of course- printing techniques.

No previous screen printing experience necessary. Artists, designers, painters, printmakers, surface designers and anyone who loves color and pattern are encouraged to participate in this class :)

Each student will receive hands-on instruction and demos from Fran and Danica of Current Shapes, access to art books, an extensive resource list if you want to continue exploring this medium after the workshop is over, and an array of materials. All supplies & materials included. Each student will leave the workshop with their own unique printed tote bag.

Encouraged but not required to bring: Sketchbook & any source of inspiration to you.

$150 Workshop Fee

This will be an intimate workshop with only 8 spots available.
