Learn the fundamentals of Python coding in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop.

The class begins with an overview of Python, a language designed for code readability. You will learn the basics of Python and programming concepts like variables, loops, functions, and testing. You will gain working knowledge needed to begin coding and using Python for your day-to-day tasks. No prior experience is needed, but a computer will be needed in order to participate.

About the instructor:
Jim Sheldon is a programmer with over a decade of experience building things. By day he works for Northeastern University, where he also teaches graduate-level courses. He enjoys coding to create products and explore various kinds of problems, including time-series forecasting, data visualization, and computer vision.
