Intro to Procreate Illustration: Draw simple flowers as you learn the app!

Online event: Intro to Procreate Illustration 🌸 Hosted by Lauren "Ren" Beck of Ren & Ink (www.renandink.com), you'll be confidently drawing in no time with guidance from a professional artist, all from the comfort of your own home! BYO iPad, Apple Pencil, and Procreate — will be required for the virtual class to draw, understand and follow along with the content.

Join Ren on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 6:30 PM EDT for a fun and interactive session where you'll learn how to draw simple flowers using the amazing illustration program, Procreate. This introductory class is geared towards beginners to learn the app and its features, but artists looking to brush up on your digital illustration skills are welcome too, as there will be a directed project and pro-tips galore!

During this session, you'll be guided through the basics of Procreate with a grand tour, including tools, brushes, and techniques that will boost your overall knowledge and confidence. You'll learn how to create beautiful floral designs step by step using downloaded guides and instruction by Ren, enhancing your drawing skills with the experimentation and ease of working digitally.

Required Supplies:

This class will rely on the participant having the following supplies on hand:

• iPad, charged and ready to use
• Apple Pencil, charged and ready to use
• Procreate app, downloaded onto iPad ($12.99 on the App Store, https://apps.apple.com/us/app/procreate/id425073498) — please note that other drawing apps, styluses or tablets are not recommended for this class!

Custom guided worksheets will be provided — both printable as instructions or as a digital download, allowing the participant to use the digital pages within Procreate to aide in drawing.

A note about Zoom:

Our workshop will be virtual through a Zoom link (or through the Eventbrite platform), and it will be recorded so that students may re-watch the footage and get the most value. With a clear overhead view of Ren's hand, students can follow along perfectly! Recordings will be emailed to attendees within 48 hours of class completion.

While Zoom meetings are obviously a different way of learning than in-person, Ren will work hard to keep up the magical energy, with lots of encouragement and space to ask questions!

I'm Lauren "Ren" Beck, of Ren & Ink LLC, a lettering artist and illustrator based out of my home studio in Allentown, PA. I specialize in calligraphy and digital designs, while also leading workshops for children and adults.

With a variety of mediums in my toolbelt, I strive to create work that celebrates bold motifs with dynamic curves. Detailed linework and sleek script lettering strokes add movement throughout my compositions. Often my subjects include florals and nature, which is highlighted in my most recent 40-page coloring book collaboration with Crayola.
