About this event

Difficulty: Moderate/ Easy

Leader: Jeff Adams

About Jeff: Jeff is an avid outdoor enthusiast & an “aspiring” naturalist who’s been enjoying the natural world for 50 years. He’s a member of the Friends of the Fells, The Trustees, Mass Audubon, Sudbury Valley Trustees, Acton Conservation Trust, Essex Greenbelt, Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions and The Massachusetts Archaeological Society, Inc. He and his wife, Carol Andrulli, have been hiking in the Fells for over 30 years & frequently participate in numerous hiking/nature programs.

About the hike: Please join Jeff for his 2nd Inaugural Spring Plant ID Nature walk into Virginia Wood. This, and two (2) more upcoming walks in late May / June (to be posted soon) will be focused on Introductory Identification of Plants/Shrubs/Trees. The pace will be slow/moderate with stops for identification & discussion. This walk is ideal for those who’ve not attended a Plant ID walk before. It’s recommended to wear sturdy shoes, a hat, and long pants. Please be mindful that ticks are out so tucking pants into socks is a good strategy along w/ bug repellent. Bringing a water bottle is also recommended.

Steady rain or stormy wind cancels.
