The Miller Intro to Judaism Program invites you to explore Jewish history, culture, traditions, and wisdom in a denominationally and culturally inclusive environment.

Whether you’re Jew-ish and want to get back in touch with your roots, learning about Judaism for the first time, in search of conversion, or merely want to learn for the sake of learning – we welcome all who want to learn and experience Judaism. Come join us!

Our nationally recognized 18-week Intro course covers the essentials of Judaism, including its holidays, rituals, ideas, and traditions. We start new classes almost every month and have both online and in-person class offerings.

For individuals:

Class tuition for an individual is $376 (this includes a $26 digital materials fee), payable by credit card on the registration page. There is also an option to apply for financial aid. If you choose to apply for financial aid, you MUST pay a non-refundable $50 deposit NOW to secure your spot in the class (plus a $26 non-refundable digital materials fee - $76 in total). You will find the Financial Aid option as an add on below the Tuition Registration on the registration page.

If you opt to only pay the deposit fee at this time, please contact our office at 310.440.1273 to set up a payment plan no later than two weeks before the start date of your course to guarantee course admission.

For couples:

We offer a refund for tuition up to 30 days after the start of your class.

The 18-week course schedule meets Tuesdays, February 27 - July 16 from 6:30-9:00 pm US Pacific Time. You can see the full course schedule HERE.

If you are planning on becoming a Jew by Choice: When you have completed all course requirements, please schedule a final meeting with your instructor and/or sponsoring rabbi. They will confirm that you have attended all eighteen classes. Additionally, they may ask you to do some additional learning in preparation for conversion. Completion of course requirements is not a guarantee of eligibility to convert.
