Intro to Java (April 15)

Free beginner programming classes by women, for women in the Central New York area.Class attendees must be Code Like a Girl members.  Membership is open to anyone who identifies as a woman and can get to classes in the CNY area.  To join, go tothe Google group.

Code Like a Girl

This class will introduce the basics of the Java programming language.  We will use these fundamentals to run some programs and do team exercises.  There is no coding experience necessary. Who can attend?
Anyone!  No coding experience or prior classes necessary.  This class is open to women and men.  Young adults/teens may attend classes, too, but we ask that they be referred by an adult CLG member.  (Recommended minimum age is 16, but if the referring adult believes the teen can be successful in a class of adults, we will trust their judgement.)
Please arrive a little early to minimize logistical pains.  Make sure to bring your laptop and charger.  Please also bring lunch and/or snacks; the class is four hours long and we don't want anyone going hungry ;-)

Parking
The Tech Garden doesn't offer parking, but there is significant (metered) street parking and a couple of lots nearby. You can sometimes park at <A HREF="https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0453536,-76.151319,20z" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">this lot</A> (the empty space west of the intersection of S. Warren + E. Onondaga + Madison) for free on weekends when there's no attendant and no place to put money.
