Welcome to Intro to Geocaching!
Come join us for a fun-filled day of treasure hunting at 908 2600 Ave. Geocaching is like a real-world treasure hunt using GPS devices to find hidden containers called geocaches. This event is perfect for beginners looking to learn the ropes of geocaching. You'll get a chance to explore the area, solve clues, and uncover hidden treasures!
This class is open to all ages! Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note: There is no running water or air conditioning for this event. There is use of a primitive restroom (aka port-a-potty). Please plan accordingly!
Attire: It's best to wear closed-toe shoes. Participants are responsible for wearing weather-appropriate clothing.
Geocaching requires the use of a GPS-enabled smart phone or handheld GPS unit. Participants will be responsible for bringing their own device.
Geocaching also requires the use of a vehicle to transport to the different caches -- participants will use their own vehicles for locating caches in the community.
Geocaching is a free activity. However, there are options for paid upgrades, and those are the resposibility of the participant should they choose to upgrade. Upgrading is not required for participation in this event.
