Attendees are recommended to bring a Windows or Mac laptop to follow along with the fusion tutorial. If available, but it is not required.

Materials Provided:

Course manual and safety guidelines.
Access to CNC plasma tables and necessary software.
Sample materials for practice cuts.

This class needs a minimum of 1 attendee to run

Instructor Bio:

Neil's background is as a professional sea kayaker and guide. Having majored in Outdoor Education at UNH, Neil spent much of his career working with at-risk and underserved youth. For programming, he was able to design and implement a curriculum using experiential methodology in non-traditional settings.

Since discovering Port City Makerspace 6 years ago, he has honed and expanded his skills to include every shop, lab, and studio PCMS offers. For the past 2 years, Neil has been the Metal Shop Manager and an instructor for Intro to Welding. The generosity of fellow makerspace members has kept his enthusiasm unabated for years. Sharing and learning new techniques, processes, or problem-solving skills has greatly enriched his skill set and life.
