Join us for this hands-on, skill-building, tour-de-tools, and de-mystify all those DIY project instructions you've seen. Instructables? In the bag. YouTube? You got this. 
You won't take anything home from this class except a bunch of new skills, a head full of confidence, and an itch to make stuff! (Warning: your garage may no longer be suitable for parking your car, nor your spare bedroom for... spare beds.) 
 
Skill level: Beginner/novice
 
Tips, techniques, and lots of hands-on practice with:

drills, drivers, and screws

measuring and marking accurately

saws, saws, saws - for cutting to width and length, mitered and curved

characteristics of wood/ knowing your materials

Class fees/scholarships/donations: Class fees include all materials. Scholarships options are available on every class registration page, and are 100% funded through donations from other students. FAQs
What can/can't I bring to the event? Please wear closed-toe shoes, tie long hair back, remove all hand/wrist/neck jewelry, and avoid baggy clothing or clothing with things hanging from them (sweatshirt hood ties, etc).
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Currently, we are only accepting students over 18 years of age.  We are exploring future classes open to minors.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? There is street parking available on the surrounding streets.  The #4 bus runs on Mississippi and drops off within a block of the ReBuilding Center.  The Overlook Park stop on the Yellow Max Line is about a 15 minute walk, as well. 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No - unless your name is different than that of the attendee on the original registration.  If that is the case, please bring proof in the form of a printed ticket or other confirmation.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay? Yes, tickets can be given to anyone who is over 18 years of age.
What is your refund policy? You may transfer your ticket to another individual who is 18 years of age or older. We currently do not offer refunds; if it is a special scenario, please email education@rebuildingcenter.org.
