About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Blockprinting is one of the oldest forms of printmaking, dating back thousands of years. Discover this ancient art by designing and carving your own printing block for use on paper or fabric! Students will learn how to transfer images and create their own designs. We will explore repeat patterns and introduce various supplies and tools used in this process. By the end of the workshop, each student will have plenty of information to continue to practice this craft, along with several prints and their carved block for future use. If you have a specific design in mind, feel free to bring it along, plus any materials you would like to print on during class! All materials will be provided. (Consider bringing an apron and your glasses!) Ages 16+

Materials Fee: Pay Instructor $20
