About this event
- Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes
Dear Creatives,
Whether you’re curious about AI tools or a little suspicious (we get it) — they’re already changing the landscapes of our fields! It’s best for us to get our hands on them early and use them ethically and consciously to spark creativity and enhance our careers.
Our team has been working with AI since 2022, implementing it into our theatrical practice through trial, error, and a lot of exploration — always with the mission of using it for connection, intellectual stimulation, and doing things humans simply cannot!
We’ve put together a list of the tools we use daily — tools that have helped us attract audiences, collaborators, and corporate clients, and fueled our passion for creating new art. They played a central role in the sold-out performances of our AI-driven show at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival!
This is a hands-on class, making what seemed complex — accessible and fun to use!
🚀 You’ll love this workshop if:
- You’ve never touched AI tools but are curious to try and learn more
- You’ve used ChatGPT but didn’t know about many other AI tools out there
- You want to learn how to create images, music, voice over, or videos to support or inspire your creative work
- You’re already using AI but want fresh inspiration and to see how others use it in artistic practice
🧠 What you'll explore:
- Use AI text models like ChatGPT and Claude to write, ideate, and co-create
- Generate images from text prompts using tools like Midjourney and Ideogram (not just cats in suits — unless that’s your thing)
- Create music using platforms like Suno, with just a few words
- Generate voiceovers or character voices using ElevenLabs
- Build short videos using Runway or Kling !
- Explore how artists and creatives are using these tools to build art, careers, and buzz
After this workshop, you’ll be able to:
- Use AI tools to generate ideas, support your writing, and create original content
- Develop short videos for your art projects or promo material
- Add AI into your toolkit without losing creativity
About the Host:
This first workshop is led by Natalia Yandyganova, an independent theater and film director exploring the use of AI in storytelling. She’s the creator of The Waiting Room, an interactive, AI-powered show that premiered to sold-out audiences at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In addition to her creative work, Natalia brings teaching experience from her time as a Cisco instructor — blending tech with a passion for helping others learn new tools.
