About this event

Come join us for INT'L CAFE at Utepils Brewing, a language cafe/intercambio style casual multilingual hangout. You can make some new friends and practice speaking a language that you are learning or already know.

There will be a table for each language requested. Feel free to move around to different tables if you speak multiple languages. We generally have English, Ukrainian, French, German, American Sign Language, Spanish, Arabic, Cantonese, Dutch, Igbo, Mandarin, Russian, Vietnamese, Czech, Bavarian, French Cajun, Gaelic, Hmong, Norwegian, Somali, and Yoruba tables. We can always make a table for your language upon request.

Frequently asked questions

What level do I need to be in my languages to attend?

Any and all levels are welcome! We make sure to set tables for all languages requested so if you are learning a language you can introduce yourself to as many people at that table as you like, while speaking only as much as you can.

What should I do if I've reached my skill limit in that language?

Once you've topped out on your skills, head to a language table where you are a rockstar expert speaker! We always have an English table where people are practicing their English. The same is true for Spanish, and many many others.

Do I need to pay to attend?

Our events are more fun with more people so we never require anyone to pay to enter. "Pay What You Want" donations are a way to say thank you if/when you can contribute.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Just bring yourself! We provide language stickers so you can sport your languages and the brewery has food and drinks for purchase.

Is this a formal event?

No way! We love keeping things casual and it is necessary to have fun while you learn a language (or few). This is about socializing and a building supportive group of multilinguals so you can say "Cheers! Santé! 건배! Skål! Cin cin! Salud! 乾杯!" in any language.
