Interwoven: Summer Splash Celebration

Special Operations Forces families are invited to join The Station Foundation as we celebrate the end of the school year and welcome all the fun that summer brings. Join us as we appreciate the smell of beautiful flowers, watch the delicate flutter of butterflies, and enjoy shade under a tree’s canopy at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Unplugging from technology and getting outside refreshes the mind and spirit for adults and children alike. During this fun, refreshing program, families will play and cool off in the splash fountains at the WOW Children’s Garden.

Playing outside is essential for children’s physical, emotional and spiritual well being. Teaching your child how to appreciate nature through playtime outdoors is invaluable. Sharing and enjoying time outside as a family is a simple and easy way to strengthen your relationship, build connection, and practice gratitude.

1:30 - 1:40 PM: Arrival and Check In

1:40 - 2:00 PM: Welcome and Program Overview

2:00 - 2:20 PM: Tram Garden Tour

2:20 - 2:30 PM: Grounding Exercise

2:30 - 4:00 PM: Splash Fountains and WOW Children’s Garden

4:00 - 4:20 PM: Refreshments

4:20 - 4:30 PM: Tram to Parking Lot/ Exit

Event Details:

• Admission to the Norfolk Botanical Garden is provided by The Station Foundation.
• Children of all ages are welcome.
• Water, snacks and popsicles will be provided.
• Bathing suits under clothing are recommended.
• Anticipate playing in full sun with limited shade. Flip flops, towels, sun hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended.
  

When registering for an event, all required fields on the order form must be completed in its entirety. Incomplete order forms will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding and helping us ensure event security and the highest quality experience possible.
